Vidic with a quality header to put inter 1-0 up against Roma. FFS moyes why did you have to be that shit you made him want to leave!!!

No shame in being beat by a seasoned defender like Vidic, who is one of the best headers in the game. I have seen a certain (more accomplished) Barca defender get beat aerially by far inferior players.

I know there has been a lot of Benatia fanboying ard here, but lets not go to the other extreme to counteract it.

I'll laugh if the final of this thing is Inter and Liverpool. I was telling people it would be and they thought I was crazy.

Hey, just trying to balance out the cosmic sanity a bit before the universe as we know it implodes from hype overload.


(Truth be told, I'm not even sure it was his man to mark, even though he followed and lost him. But, shhh, don't tell anyone. Hopefully the fanboys who never watch him play, didn't see this either, and thus they might begin to believe he's not some sort of infallible Roman god after all)

Vidic keeps bullying benatia at corners and set peices, hes a proper defender our nemanja. 2-0 now good finish inter are looking really solid at the back and with their first choice midfield coming in they look set to improve a huge amount this season. Hopefully they can mount a title challenge with roma!

@XaviMessiGirl Why didn't inter try and play like this vs United? they have actually had a go this game instead of sitting really deep? They look good in this game and they could of got a result had they set up to play like this last game?

Didn't see the goal or watching the game right now, but he had trouble vs Llorente initially last season as well before coming back strongly into the game. He is quite good in the air, but this is something he can work on a bit more ofc.

My guess is that Mazzarri just wanted to sit back and defend against Madrid and United since on paper they are much stronger teams. And not like Mazzarri is that great of a coach either, he doesn't tend to experiment or take risks. But Roma is a familiar adversary so the team has experience how to best play against them.

Ok thats fair enough! I like inter and hopefully they can have a good season.


United vs Real in an hour

Manchester United Starting XI: De Gea; M Keane, Jones, Evans; Valencia, Herrera, Fletcher, Young; Mata; Rooney, Welbeck

Real Madrid Starting XI: Casillas; Arbeloa, Pepe, Ramos, Nacho, Carvajal; Illarra, Alonso, Modric; Bale, Isco.


I thought Jones was injured? I hope he isn't playing when he is not 100% right as it will just aggravate the problem. We need to strengthen so badly its not even funny. I can see us loosing badly tonight with bales pace and isco's movement with modric through balls. 3-1 Madrid.
