People keep saying that but we aren't going away......it's not like in 2009 in which we were at the end of our cycle and were in extreme debt. It's the polar opposite this time. We can build upon a position of strength not weakness.
i am sure liverpool will still be strong contenders for top 4 next season but it will be harder next season to win the league, this really was a golden chance for liverpool this year. next season chelsea have a proper striker and matic in midfield from the start, plus a couple of signings in defence such as felipe at left back. man city will buy in defence for sure, looks like mangala is a done deal, and pellegrini won't capitulate in away games like he did this season with the year of prem experience he now has. 3rd and 4th will likely be between liverpool/arsenal and united, i expect united to get back into the top 4 next season with van gaal shaking things up plus deadwood sold and new signings to come in, its not certain we'll make top 4 next season with all the changes but we won't be far off, we'll certainly be better then we have been this season. it will be interesting to see how suarez reacts at the end of the season when madrid come calling, benzema looks like he is being moved on so suarez is the obvious target. suarez has not won much in his career in terms of trophies apart from a few cups with ajax in holland which don't mean much nowadays, if he has any ambition to win things he may say enough is enough and push for a move...
