The clowns infront of him since SAF left don't help his cause but United fans have indeed gone completely over the top singing his praises in recent seasons. Just because he was the only bright spark in an otherwise bleak United team they pretended he was one of the top 3 goalkeepers in the world already.

De Gea has started very poorly this season so far and i feel he needs a game or two out of the side but he has never been overated, he has been the stand out keeper in the league for years before courtois came...

He was underated before and then he got the praise he desevred and now he has 2/3 sloppy games and he's overated? A bit of a Knee jerk reaction..
