I know their defense is bad, but they could really diminish this problem with just a new keeper who bails them out at the back repeatedly like MAtS does.

Pepistas been exposed, much rather have valverde who has tactical variety and can get the best out of a team

Valverde haters are really strange

Start of the season we were lucky, lately we have actually looked better. Valverde was lucky at he start. Results wise. You think Real is this bad? No they are not. They are unlucky, while we have been very lucky..

Fuck me, what a FUCKING match!

Liverpool didn't impress me much tonight, but neither did City to be fair, but good them for ending City's unbeaten run.

Amateur level defending and goalkeeping by City, all 4 goals were self-inflicted as the result of individual gaffs.

1st goal - Ederson should have that easily

2nd goal - Stones being bullied off the ball by a much smaller man

3rd goal - Otamendi brain fart and mis-pass

4th goal - Ederson mistake

City's form looks to be dipping in recent weeks, maybe they peaked to early?

This also shows why Liverpool will struggle to win the CL.

4-1 up and they almost let it slip :pep:

That never matters in the CL. You only need to play 180 minutes properly and it's what Liverpool has always been great at historically.

Exactly. Cup competition are never about consistency...winning the league is but not the cup. 2005 and 2012..maybe even 2014 proved that.

Liverpool are odd but thrilling. Van Dijk has a lot of work to do.

this is such a reactionary statement, City literally just lost the first game of the season. Every manager has his kryptonite, for Pep it is Klopp. But City faired fantastically against many other good teams in the PL and it's already ridiculous that we have mid january and they lost their first game of the season.

Anyone who says De Bruyne hasn't been outstanding tonight haven't seen the game

He carried that team by himself and almost led them to a 4-4 draw. Sure he lost the ball a few times, but created a fair bit of chances and dangerous actions and drove them forward.

De Bruyne is nowhere near Messi, which some of the PL nuthuggers were suggesting.

Sit the fuck down City. Best team in the world my ass.

I really liked how you guys pressed them and that's what caused them to make such mistakes in all fairness.

I have nothing against Liverpool, it's just that most if not all of the goals City conceded were as a result of their own mistakes.

Cool finishes by Salah, Mane and Firmino, takes a lot of composure to put the ball in the net like that even after the mistakes that City made.

You guys have one hell of an attack, will give you that!
