Looks like Pep is scared of the Rashford/Greenwood pace and is playing a bit more conservatively to try and stop them on break. Worked to an extent but still United getting ball forward quite quickly through the other players.

Dont think they are trying their usual ball domination in opponent half and likes of KDB is getting majorly pissed off as not seeing enough of ball and not much support from midfield when he gets on it.

Klopp is basically working at Liverpool to prevent what is happening to City from happening to them as well. When their movement declines as much as City's and they are unable to go at teams with intensity, they will fall off, because individually they aren't great either.

The only team who can keep things simple and look top is PSG at times due to the talent they have up front. The rest, Bayern included, have to keep intensity levels very high and work superhard on the field to maintain their domination.

Zidane's Madrid with Ronaldo was basically like the current PSG on steroids and massive luck.

He might get pissed, but De Bruyne is also part of the downward path of the team. Not the same player as 1-2 years ago. Didn't drop off as much as Sterling but still, he's also lackluster, lacking an edge and a bit of pace. Team erosion really.

Episode 456 of Walker being dumb. Offside bailed him off.

And that's why Jesus will never be a killer striker. So, he makes room for a shot with a nice touch, and instead of blasting it in the far corner, he tries some flick and loses the ball.

Frankly, I think people who prefer purer forwards are right. Don't see the need for players who are second striker material. In some circumstances, they can work nicely, but most of the time, it doesn't pan out in the long run. Either you can run the game in midfield with good passing, stamina, smart positioning, or you need to show either reliable finishing skills to play striker, or speed and 1 vs 1 ability to occupy a wing role.

Wowww, fans should be consider themselves blessed they didn't have to pay for tickets to attend that match.

One of the worst Manchester derbies ever.

Sterling had his top scoring season last season with 31 and KDB beat the assist record in the league while voted best mid in Europe.

Harsh to be claiming they have dropped off.

Maybe it's this season, but having watched City plenty of times, they look worse than before.

Sterling and KDB are not the reason they have been poorer last season and times the start of this and neither have declined at all in last 1-2 years.

Folk like to make out City are shit and then always include them with Liverpool and Bayern as top 3 in europe.

City are not nearly as bad as is made out at times as if have gone on some massive decline and not a poor side. Looks like they have had some poorer results and Pep changing way play in some games to be less gungho but still a very good side.

If you'd told me last season that John Stones would start benching Laporte I would not have believed you.

Disappointing for Mourinho. You can't just play every match even against Palace as some CL deciding match and expect your players to hold off pressure without making any mistakes. You have much better players ffs, go there and score the 2nd. Give yourself some margin of error.

Liverpool's title to lose imo.

Mourinho's football will fall apart as soon as Kane or Son is injured or other teams realise you can just sit back too. His tactics require a specific squad of players, as soon as that isn't the case he has no other plans. He's the total opposite to pep in playing style but in that regard exactly the same. Plan B is just be hope plan A can somewhat function.
