Liverpool play on the wings too often for Thiago to really make a difference. That's the main difference between Klopp and Pep. Klopp will take the available wing space more often to insist with a) crosses or b) quick combinations between wingers and fullbacks, while Guardiola will usually put more effort into trying to unlock teams centrally, with overloads and short passing schemes and patterns. Klopp's approach vs a team sitting deep is not as much in Thiago's wheelhouse as believed. It's based more on playing into the empty areas fast (which are 99% of the time the wide zones), with quick exchanges, more than on building superiority through slick passing and triangles, in the crowded central channels.

Thiago is a mixed bag so far at Liverpool because the team doesn't give him that much creative license. The approach insists more on Mane, Salah, and their corresponding fullbacks, Robertson and TAA.

In fact, the decline of Liverpool is tied to a drop in fullbacks' and wingers' level. Plus a collective drop in pressing intensity and duration (usually pressing is the first component that is lost in time, and this Liverpool team is in its 3rd season at the top).

Robertson has arguably been the best full back in the world this season. One of the most creative players in the league and strong defensively.

TAA has not been same this season and since came back from injury.

They are clearly missing VVD but even with him since they clinched league to his injury they had conceded more goals than any other EPL team.

One big difference is that they are struggling to find the late goals as last season which was never going to be sustainable.

Liverpool's main strength was punching above their class through tactical play, discipline, and max effort.. They have some world class players but other than VVD pre-injury, none I would put in the bucket of legendary/legendary potential. Now that they've run for 3-4 years, it's hard to muster up the same effort.

Yea, the bottom line is their success was built on outworking the opponent, pressing more, running more, passing faster, having higher stamina, better fitness and so on. When they are unable to do that, they will have difficulties maintaining their level.

Must be retarded these guys. They should know by now they'll pay for calling people such names even with kind intentions.

And still do it.

Called someone "negrito" in a funny, nonracist way. And the FA fined and suspended him because they decide what is racist and not.

"Funny" isn't the correct description.
It's as casual as it gets and without any bad intention like you said.

More like the FA is retarded. A minimal effort put into this and you immediately find out that in this case there's not even a shred of racism involved. But they are abusive and ignorant.

Don't think you should change your culture and the way you speak just because of some ignorant fucks who see racism whenever something resembling the color black is mentioned.

At this rate, in 10-15 years, they will change the chess rules to give black the first move.

Does the UK have any history with this word?
I mean I get the USA ultra sensitive approach with this word, but not aware of the UK having a history with it.

yup, precedent was set when suarez called evra 'negrito' and he got fined/suspended. by actual british law, don't think there is a way to punish him - as in penal fine/jail time.

thing is shit got out of hand because uefa/fifa don't want to open up a can of worms with this 'racism' bullshit. it might lead to other stuff being unearthed and we all know how corrupt these institutions are.

otherwise, most people don't even understand what racism is. calling someone names, doing monkey chants or other stupid shit, that's not racism.

racism is when a person is really persecuted, threatened, gets unfair treatment at work or is being stigmatized for his skin color etc etc

I am actually talking about the history of the country.

USA had slavery issues, and this word was used badly etc. So they are sensitive toward it.
But UK, did they use this "n" word in their history? Or they are just hating it due to the American culture dominance?

the whole suarez incident exploded because evra was offended by what saurez said and the FA was forced to do something. from what i've seen, the premier league doesn't have the same issues as we see in spain or italy.

also, the premier league is a strong brand that has good audience in the US. you don't want someone to get offended and then start a riot, burn a town or something :crbust:
