Chelsea getting beaten by another top side in the league? Shocking.
City are still suspect defensively and they have major problems converting their chances. EPL is wide open this year. United, City, Liverpool, even Leicester maybe with a shot to win it.
City have had by far best defence in league since Dias/Stones partnership got together. Something like 2 goals in 9/10 games.
Their numbers do look good. Maybe they've found the right formula finally.
City has a ridiculously low xG conceded this season in all competitions. Something like 14.7 cumulative xG A in EPL, and 1.7 (!!!!) cumulative xG A in UCL
Since mid last season when Lilo become Pep's assistant they changed their approach to a more defensive-control oriented one.
It took some time to work and click, but now it seems that it does.
Not so enjoyable in the eye, not hammering opponents anymore, not creating dozen of chances every game, but on the contrary
being super safe at the back.
Big favorites IMO for both CL and EPL from now on.
