First of all we need forwards at the end of them :p

True.

Hopefully we manage to sign a striker and winger who are quick and good off the ball. Might need to sign a couple of wide players if Dembele decides to chase the money.

You may laugh, but I don't think that is a skill related to talent, but a product of muscle memory due to intense training. I think these teams train these stuff so much and so obsessively, that the players just know exactly how to execute them to death.

I mean ffs, some of these players aren't bright talents and do them perfectly. The only way it makes sense it's if you train it to death. How come Chelsea weren't doing it with Lampard?

I'm sure you can train the players to do it more efficiently, you have to strike the ball a bit differently, but I hate the idea of having to train players to do basic stuff like that.

They played differently under Lampard so didn't really play such balls in general. Guys like Thiago Silva have always been good at it though.

I like Lisandro Martinez from Ajax as an option, he's great at it as well as passing between the lines. Reminds me a lot of Mascherano in some ways. Aggressive, good on the ball, on the quicker side. He's not very tall, but he plays for an Ajax team that's very high up the pitch and where he has to defend a lot of space on counters. Didn't do a bad job on Haaland vs Dortmund.

Might also come cheaper than other more popular or big name options.

The execution in itself is basic. To manage to do it many times with a low error rate is hard though. That takes work. I'm sure for example, Stephen Curry's 3 point shot is practiced to absolute death to the point it's almost muscle memory, he knows the amount of force required to out the ball within a very small margin of a destined target.

Man, United's midfield is so bad.

Fred, McTominay, Matic. Really? After all these years, that's what you come up with?

A lot of tactical training goes, too, kudos to Steve Kerr, as Steph is not just shooting the ball randomly. He uses a lot of plays to get himself to an unmarked spot on court for a comfortable shot. Golden State Warriors had studied Barca's style of football and applied it to their game.
