I think losing Mahrez and Gundogan will noticeably weaken City, pair that with the come-down of having achieved the treble and no one ever having won the league four in a row, and I think it'll likely they don't win it this time around.

1. Arsenal
2. City
3. Liverpool
4. United
5. Newcastle

Assnal isn't finishing top 4.

1. City
2. Liverpool

the rest if irrelevant

Same shit different season

1. City
2. Arsenal
3. United
4. Liverpool
5. Chelsea

Prediction: United or Arsenal will be frontrunners and then City will clean up in the 2nd half of season

What's up with KDB? Seems like he's had some ongoing issues during preseason from that CL final injury. With Gundo gone they're going to need him even more. Alvarez and Kovacic are totally different players to those two.

If De Zerbi continues to cook with his Brighton core gone he need to be our next manager.

Difference in the leagues spending power is crazy.

England - Miss out on the Champions League and spend over 200m on three players.

Spain - Win the league and struggle to get 4m worth of signings registered.

Yep. Spains problems are pretty well known. Comfortably outspent by Ligue1, Bundi, Serie A and (obviously) EPL these days.

Worse than this is two things,

1) no growth expenditure due to FFP

2) no income due to 1:1 (some clubs like ours on 1:4) and buyout clauses.

Answer is self imposed austherity while all assets (Players) go elsewhere. The clubs spend little, and the clubs make little. Carry on like this and it will soon be behind Portugal too, as no club in Spain can sell on players like their big 3.

Apparently Caicedo has turned down move to Liverpool.
[Fabrizio Romano] EXCLUSIVE: Moisés Caicedo has just informed Liverpool that he only wants to join Chelsea! Caicedo has decided to keep his word and only accept Chelsea as personal terms were agreed since end of May. Chelsea, set to bid again in order to get deal done with Brighton.

the current City defence on the field right now cost 100 million more than Burnley have ever spent in their entire footballing history.
