The difference between a commercialized club (since 90s) like United and a club with actual football heritage is that La Masia continues to produce talent like Yamal, Gavi, Cubarsi on the free while United haven't had a standout academy product since class of 92 lmao

The players you can attract matter as well.
Likes of Barca can get players those clubs cant like how we signed Gundogan on a free... no chance he ever goes to any of those if he were free.

United and Chelsea have been awfully mismanaged but Tottenham dont really spend much. Only recently they started spending and that was after some big sales.
