I wouldn’t bet against a Man U opponent. One trend I have noticed is that Man U tends to do better (than expected) against other top teams, such as Pool or City under ETH than against mid table teams.

Ten Hag needs to play with 9. A bit questionable tactics there. Maybe trying to ease Zirkzee in.

Same for De Ligt otherwise makes no sense not to play him.

The problem of ETH is not his tactics, it's his boring persona. He is bland. Don't think his charisma and motivational ability are good enough for the top level.

At a big club those are very important. Stars don't just follow any manager simply because he occupies a position of command. They have to be drawn in.

Never lost the dressing room. Don’t see many other coaches pull that off with last season’s results.

He was under pressure of losing his jobs for months last season and players knew it.

Not “ultra-supported” at all as you imply. He didn’t even know if he could stay on after winning fa cup.
