It has nothing to do with Paris or anything being invested wisely it is just Qatar pumping in money.
Not sure losing a one horse race league and never getting past the CL quarter finals is thriving when spending billions anyway.
No shock. Terrorism thrived too with proper investment from Qatar state. Enjoy your artificial bubble while it lasts.

Historically PSG is very popular in Brazil because lots of Brazilian players are amongs their past stars (+ a large number of other average brazilian players. If you check up, they signed a ton)
Just to name a few:
- Rai
- Leonardo
- Ronaldinho
- Valdo
- Ricardo
- Geraldao
And all the recent ones like Maxwell, Ceara, Paulo Cesar etc. As said above they got a ton. Not necessarily the best though
When it comes to merchandising, it was always one of their best regions, even before the Qatar era.
