It's not that I don't think PSG can compete against Barca, it's that I'm tired of seeing the two sides play. I've seen this match up before, not that long ago even. It doesn't inspire any interest with me. Same with the Atletico-Real draw.

Not sure. If anyone it'd be Luiz I'm guessing.

Fair enough. I find most CL ties in the knockout stages interesting by virtue of their nature. Of course it would have been more "interesting" to draw another team but PSG is an exciting team to play against. For the neutral it's a far better game than watching Barcelona demolish Porto or watching PSG play against their domestic rivals, Monaco.

Yep it is Matuidi.

Did PSG not receive a lot of yellow cards in that return leg against Chelsea? I recall that at least. Surely Matuidi can't be the only player in danger of getting a suspension if he receives another yellow card? What about Luiz, Silva etc.?

Tbh, I would have preferred Bayern or Real even if only because we've never seen those match ups.

Luiz maybe, but Silva is almost never carded.

Ok, it seems that Motta, Luiz and Matuidi will be suspended if they receive a yellow card in the first leg.

Ibra is suspended for the first leg, Verrrati as well while Aurier got a 3 match suspension.

Alve is suspended for the first leg while Rakitic will be suspended for the return leg if he receives a yellow card.

Just to be 100% sure. With the current rules in place then you get suspended for 1 match if you get 2 yellow cards in 2 CL games in a row? Right or wrong?

It's suspension after 3, 5, 7, 9, etc yellow cards. But they will be purged now in the qf's, if I'm not mistaken.

So Motta, Luiz and Matuidi aren't one yellow away from suspension?

I think they are. The yellow cards expire after the quarter finals and they already have one yellow. I think you'll be suspended after 2 YC

Correct, just found it on UEFA site.

So Motta, Luiz and Matuidi will not miss the return leg of the quarterfinals if they all receive yellow cards in the first leg?

All previous yellow cards expire after or before the quarterfinals as well or what?

What about red cards? Let's presume that we receive a red card in the return leg of the quarterfinals. Will we then miss player x in the semifinals? Yes or no?

Ok. See this post.

If they have only 1, then no. It takes 3 to get the first suspension. We have many players with 1 yc too.

I don't know exactly if you get suspended with 2 or 3 yellow cards. I read on twitter that they are one yellow away from suspension. I assume that they're either on 1 yellow or 2 yellows each.

I checked, and only matuidi and vdw are 1 yc away from suspension. The first suspension is with 3 yc.

Matuidi and van der Wiel (forgot about him) have both received 2 yellow cards so far.

Motta and Luiz just 1 yellow card in total. But the question is if you do not get suspended if you receive 2 yellow cards in two consecutive matches? I recall this being the case.

No, 3 yellow cards are needed for the first suspension. It doesnt matter if in consecutives matches or not.

How many cards are our players on?
Rafinha is the only one with 2.
