Benitez lost Inter dressing room, says Eto'o

(AFP) – 3 days ago

ROME — Cameroon international striker Samuel Eto'o on Friday revealed that his former Inter Milan coach Rafael Benitez was sacked after losing part of the dressing room.

"What mistake did Benitez make? Until the match against Juventus (a 0-0 draw on October 3) we had been playing well. Then something happened in the dressing room, which I will keep to myself, and things ended up as they did," said Eto'o in allusion to Benitez's sacking just before Christmas despite winning the World Club Cup.

The Spaniard lasted only half a season after his arrival from Liverpool last summer to replace Jose Mourinho, who led Inter to an unprecedented treble of Champions League, Serie A title and Italian Cup.

Eto'o told a television show, to be broadcast later Friday, that he had not been one of those in the anti-Benitez camp.

"No, I wasn't - I have known him since I was 17 and, I had a great relationship with him. But others had it in for him."

Oo0o0o0o0o0o00!!! Eto'o cannot do that, he is a tease. I have to know now!!!

Very obvious .. he clearly insulted Jose and Jose's loyal players responded to him...
look @ the last line and easily connect the dots
Rafa might have lost it and accused them of playing only for Jose and the players responded

Could be, but I still find it nauseating to cry over him when you have an attacking trio that is breaking all kinds of records.

I'm not crying over him, I wouldn't replace any of our front 3 with Eto'o, I'm just shocked at how bitter you are against someone who did so much for the club.

"The man couldn't communicate with the Inter Milan players properly. The players didn't like him.
If your going into to Real Madrid. . . .with the group of players that they have. . .and your not a man manager well then you have no chance in my opinion" - Steve Nicol

Benitez confirms that he will leave after this weekend. LOL Madrid are going to crumble.

I don't think we should laugh too much actually. Many barca fans including me were suggesting madrid are done after selling di maria and alonso and signing "overrated" james during the last summer transfer window. If not for injuries to key players they were amazing for most of the season. Benitez might actually make it work at madrid, would be too soon to make any conclusions. But he is definitely a big step down from carlo (thank you perez).

"I'm going to tell you one thing, just one thing. Ancelotti is absolutely great and we have to thank him. Three days ago he was the world's greatest coach just like Mourinho was two years ago. From now on, the greatest coach will be Rafa Benítez." Fernández de Blas (one of RM's director)

So .... Welcome to Madriiiiiiiid Benitez!! :D

PS : On the bright side, he'll probably add a second top2 finish next season

Firing Ancelotti is going to prove to be a BIG mistake.

I DO expect them to be much more solid defensively however.
