I domt think he ever looked all that great and it is over played how he was before.

Was always going to be a squad player at best and dont think he would settle for that.

But yes Thiago is bigger talent but I think Rafinha could be good squad player like Roberto. Very valuable to have players like that.

No Thiago was always the far superior player who clearly had a future as a Barca starter.

His last big injury took quite a big toll on his physique. He lost his main trait as a youth prospect, which was his charging runs and dribbling in the midfield to start an attack. He could still do it, sorta, before this injury but his lack of speed put a big restraint on it. It rarely amounted to anything beyond being fouled in advantageous positions. Now, I suppose he will be even more impotent in that area and ultimately end up a jack of all trades.

Rafinha was never going to be a starter at Barcelona. Thiago was a special talent standing out from day one. Rafinha never did that even at Barca B.

Which position could Rafinha start at Barca? Midfielder? Not creative enough and too slow. Winger? Again, too slow and one-footed. Good option from the bench though, but he never had anything on Thiago. No shame in that, not every La Masia graduate can go the distance.

Could be useful squad player but nothing more. Real question here is - can he stay healthy long enough to prove his worth to the team? I wouldn't count on it. Hope he can stay fit until the end of the season and play some good games to generate interest in him so we can sell him in summer. The same with Vermaelen.

All these players are not at the level we need at Barca. You cannot start with any of them in important matches
Offload them all and bring more fit players like Goretzka
