Rafinha Alcantara

It's just my opinion really, he's a tough kid and talented to some extent, but doesn't change the fact he didn't contribute to much yesterday, more over blundering the clearest change we got in the 1st half and seeing the comments here, like the "best rest messi guy", lel..

He seems to play the Messi role really well. If he could play as good as Messi, he would cost a fortune.
You can also comment the play posted above.

some good moments and some bad moments.

the only one I can clearly remember was when he was slow/late to challenge Busquet's not so good pass that resulted in Betis's first goal.

Rafinha made mistakes but the Fekir goal was not his fault, all on Busquets who left acres of space behind him and fed the pass behind the player - without any pressure. The poorest sort of error you can make tbh, no awareness coupled with poor execution. He played well afterwards but incredibly sloppy

Buy option strikes again. So if Rafinha is fully fit and has a solid season , Celta can buy him for just 10 Mil. If he fails they can send him back. What a joke.

What's our alternative though?

Keep him, play his full wages even when he'll inevitable get injured for a longer period and then leave for nothing at the end of the season. In this case we could at least hope he'll somehow stay healthy enough and play well for Celta so we'll get something for him next year. And with Rafinha leaving there will be more possible playing time for Fati.

Just paving way for Perez to get promoted and leaving further room for Fati as well.

Sad state of affairs we're relying on a 16-year-old. And Perez hasn't impressed me so far.

I don't get how we can keep loaning and selling our experienced forwards and expect to win games, expecially when we're already short in that department. Dembele has been injured so much, Suarez is nearly 33 and Messi is 32.

This board is so fucking stupid.

Don't be daft.

Perez is a talentless player. Comparing him to Pedro is a disgrace of mammoth proportions. A goal and a few assists doesn't change that. Deulofeu also had some nice stats in the first few weeks of the 17-18 season. He ended up regressing to his mean and was shipped out in January. Hard worker and some decent link up play, nothing more in his locker.

Fati on the other hand has real potential, but is 16 for feck sake. He will be ruined if he is kept up here only to rot in the reserves. Don't mind him getting some minutes in the cup or dead rubber matches though. Barca B is right for him at this moment.

Dembele?

Griezmann will need time to adapt.

Messi and Suarez are still the players our attack is built around. Messi is Messi and Suarez is the physical 9 in the box and finisher.

Well, no shit Perez isn't some great talent but right now if/When Rafinha leaves the dude is basically going to become our 5th choice Forward.

The dude is going to be 5th Choice and likely promoted due to the circumstances above. I doubt anyone takes the idea seriously that he's going to be some Pedro like impact player, and there's a good chance he's gone next summer.

dude is too old for the B team and just taking up space from younger wingers there. He will likely get promoted as squad fodder and get garbage minutes here and there while we chase bigger fish next summer and wait to see how Fati develops.
