Touré is not brilliant defensively. That´s why they bought Javi Garcia and failed. And this year bought Fernandinho and get it right.

Toure played defensive midfielder at Barca under Pep and when Busquets came through sometimes played further forward.

He is very good defensively and played at CB when needed and did a good job.

Toure has never been played as a DM at Man City as he is their best CM going forward, playing him like that he would always need a DM beside him.

Yip I mean the few years before he came through to b team never seen or heard of him being a sitting midfielder.

Of course it was a desperate measure to play him at CB but he did well whenever asked to play there - much better than Song or Busquets did. He played there and did very well in a CL final remember.

I gotta say Rafinha has impressed me playing at Celta. I did not think he'd have such a big impact so quickly, and considering the limitations of that squad, what he's doing is damn impressive.

With how much Roberto has not done great with the opportunity being given to him, it is looking more and more like Rafinha is the one who should be given that spot next season, and Roberto the one being loaned out to sink or swim.
