I think once he actually wants to play for us he'll stay. Doesnt catch me as the glory hunter type, if he was he'd probably have opted to play for spain rather than brazil, its hard to see the next spain generation not winning something with thiago, isco, koke,OT,suarez, bartra, illaremendi and other.

 Accidentally clicked on the back button and lost everything I wrote.

Anyway, Thiago was not really a glory hunter either. If Rafinha gets playing time(very likely), then he'll stay, if not then he'll leave. As easy as that.

Would still feel better having him on a long term deal with a high release clause(If Mazinho doesnt object ofc )

I hope Rafinha and Neymar can also make a great duo. It'd be great for brazil nt.

Not saying thiago is a glory hunter just hoping Rafinha isnt cause I really dont see how he won't get time under a coach like Tata so it wont be an issue of playing time ,even though Sergi's time has been drying up as of late :(

And @Flavia I dont know much about brazilian youngsters other than oscar/coutinho who else does he need to compete with in midfield?

unfair on Sergi, not as technically gifted as the other midfielders but gives energy and mobility to the team when he plays.

The way I see it, Rafinha would easily match that energy and mobility. On top of that, he'd add a greater flair for assists, unpredictability, dribbling and perhaps a bit better goal scoring ability. We'd of course lose the stability and withdrawn conservative style of Sergi Roberto, but I think the cons of having Rafinha would outweigh that.
When that's said, I don't mind having Sergo Roberto around at all, but if it came down to a choice between those two, my pick would be easy.

The point where I don't really agree with Catorce is about the easy Tello/Deulofeu swap. With our attack being the most versatile and well functioning in a long time, coupled with the meager amount of minutes Tello has gotten (even with either Messi or Neymar having been injured more or less constantly), I don't see Deulofeu getting the required minutes he'd need to develop decently. We're not selling any of our 4 'starters' this summer, and there are no signs that Tata will give up his Fab as false 9 fetish, so unless his progress suddenly sky-rockets during the spring and summer, Deu would probably be 3rd pick for either wing. And if that's the case, I'd rather see him loaned for another season.
