Man your a pity, the rest of the Real fans on here are grand out, maybe its just a reaction your looking for, or maybe you are shoulder deep in Mourinho's bullsh!t but Christ man wake up. Build a bridge and get over it for the love of God.

@ Pedro17 well said!!

On topic anyway, good call for right now giving him more power, can't see it being a master stroke Madrid need it to be, but we'll see.

Agreed. Points of debate with Wolfie, Beast and Raed are always there but they always back up there arguments, respectful and give credit where it's due. Abaddon on the other hand patently talks shite.

Manager Mourinho

As each day passes Mourinho starts behaving more and more like a football manager rather than just a coach. It has been so for some time already, but the trend is getting more and more visible in the latest weeks when Mourinho left the trainings to do for his assistants. It's a next step towards the position of Mou's friend Alex Ferguson in Manchester United. Mou is leaving the tracksuit. It's now Karanka and Faria who lead the trainings. Almost every session in the latest weeks was led according to the similar plan: two groups, one for starters and first team regulars who regain their strength under Faria, and the other where players work more intensively under Karanka. During that time the coach doesn't waste time. Usually he talks to the players at the start, but later on he steps back, sits down on the bench, where often he talks with the reappearing workers of the club dealing with a variety of issues. Mourinho is using his time. Training is underway, but at the same time he sets up the meetings.

From time to time the Portuguese also disappears in the Valdebebas. Since Champions League quarter-finals the team plays two games per week so Mourinho had to decrease the workload. This type of sessions can be easily dealt with by Karanka and Faria who have been real chiefs, even before matches against Barcelona or Bayern. There is a clear difference when you compare these sessions with the training of the pre-season. Now it's Karanka who holds the papers regarding training, even the whistle to control the exercises. The Special One believes in his assistants and lets them work with the team without problems. With time most certainly Mou will be closing onto appearing like Ferguson. Interestingly, it's the Scot who started to send his assistant Carlos Queiroz out to the conferences first. Real Madrid coach inherited the idea - right now it is Karanka who is taking care of the press matters of the team.

I find it funny how madrid media suddenly start praising their assistant coach after years of absolute ignore. A bit of a coincidence that they only started now, when Barca appointed our assistant manager as 1st manager.

It is not about praising Karanka, who by the way, has had been under the limelight a lot more than any other assistant and had more influence on the team than anyone else before. If they were praising him, it'd be deserves, considering he managed the team to victories while Mourinho was suspended. But this particular piece is about how Mourinho is managing not only the team, but the club itself. The same way SAF manages Manchester United, as he has people there who are capable of running a training session from A to Z as per SAF's commands and ideas.

Hopefully that means more signings like Coentrao.

And a freed Higgy, because Mourinho hates him.

Stop saying nonsense la furia, you have no possible relevant convincing proof to back up your assumption.

And stop nitpicking @ the coaches, mourinho has praised karanka recently stating that hes liked him so much, that he would be willing to take karanka with him to wherver his next destination is, and faria is reported to be linked with benfica as head coach.

Can you guys stop being so bitter? i mean i understand the typical logical conversation but you guys just cant go on without aggressing, its an addiction...

Mentioning coaches because of vilanova? how narrow minded and thin skinned do you have to be?!

Nothing new with the article. It was expected that Perez giving Mourinho free reign over the club's affairs had something to do with this type of set up. He couldn't do front office type of work and be assuming coaching duties either. It's nothing unexpected.

...and #FreeHiggy
