No one is going to pony up €30 million for Benzema, especially after his spell at RM...United have been linked to him before but they won't be suckered into an inflated valuation for him

My question with that is the following: they want to sell Benzema to fund the purchase of Llorente. As far as I know the clause for Llorente is at least 30 Mio. So the question is: who would buy Benzema for 30 Mio.? I mean Mou is not convinced by him, so who would be, at least for that amount of money?
Llorente price won't be his release clause, they have a deal in the pipeline with Bilbao president
it's Aguero and just because we will sell Benzema doesn't mean that's the only money available for transfers

Just meant that Granero first went to Getafe and was a regular player there...now, barely a rotation player...Arbeloa even further removed from his cantera days...Not exactly a convincing cantera model

It's not about the home grown rules Michael (cause we met this criteria fully not an issue ) it's about the financial restriction rules.. he won't be able to spend money
Arbeloa spend most of his life in Real not Liverpool .. Granero just spent 2 years in Getafe.. both are Cantera through and through .
take into consideration Getafe is just the first division Castilla
 beast a jinx only works if you actually believe it. if you don't then it's not a jinx just a pathetic attempt of changing fate.

to hell with it.. god i can't stand our entire forward line

Ade's Real deal
Adebayor to fill in until big names arrive in the summer
Sky sports

Last updated: 25th January 2011

Guillem Balague told Revista that Emmanuel Adebayor will be a stop-gap for Real Madrid ahead of some big-name signings this summer.

Sky Sports' Spanish football expert revealed that a deal is in place for the Togolese striker to join Real on loan from Manchester City for the rest of the season after their bid to re-sign Ruud van Nistelrooy from Hamburg failed.

Jose Mourinho would then have an option to sign Adebayor permanently in the summer, but Balague feels it's more likely to be a short-term deal to cover for the injured Gonzalo Higuain.

And he says Real are biding their time before they bid for Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero and Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente in the summer with Karim Benzemalikely to be sold to fund those signings.

Balague explained: "From the moment that Real Madrid realised that the van Nistelrooy deal was not going to take place, even though van Nistelrooy was willing to pay one million euros from his own pocket, they decided to activate Plan B.

"Plan B, by the way, is a better option for Mourinho. It's one that he preferred. He preferred Adebayor to van Nistelrooy and Adebayor will become a Real Madrid player because the clubs have agreed so.

"Real Madrid want to sell Benzema and finance the signing of Llorente with that money - and they also want to put 45million euros in Atletico Madrid's direction to get Kun Aguero. That's the buy-out clause.

"So they want to buy Kun Aguero and if they sell Benzema they want to get Llorente as well.

"So Adebayor is a little bit of a stop-gap.

Your not going to get much for Benzema.

Sorry, but why would Bilbao gift Madrid money? I think that even the decision to sell him to Madrid would be not very popular with the fans as they have nobody else to score goals, and then not to get the money which was put into his contract? That would be rolling over. I think not all clubs are willing to do that anymore, see HSV.

Maybe not even anything.

Isn't Llorente's buyout clause a good bit higher than 30m?
30 Mil is the price agreed based on reports , his buyout is 60 Mi

20-20 something

It's not very popular now cause they have elections next summer ..
The release clause is used as protection , apart from Figo and Ayala no club exercised this option and they made an agreement 2-3 years ago between the clubs not to use it against each other (I remember Del Nido declaring that 2-3 years ago when we wanted Navas )
HSV is different and it's mid season.. summer is a different story and Llorente is interested in joining .. it won't be the first or the last time we took /gave players to Bilbao

Visca el filòsof!
Beast, the Benzema bubble burst long ago, you bought above market value at the time and he's depreciated massively as an asset since then €15-18m at a push is my guesstimate, but then who would be interested?

Oh, and LOL at the Barndoor signing! HOOF!

Trequartista

The good
Kun,Llorente and Higuain, with only one starting at any given point, will never happen

True, anyway Llorente would be a far better signing for madrid than Aguero who may not offer something different than Higs, madrid's front line next season(Benz,Llorente,Higs)
