I'm not going to have yet another discussion about that transfer. And if you do not happen to see the difference between Marcelo's defence and Coentrao's defence then we don't really have any reason to talk any further.

That's not the point, the point is that the difference is not worth 30 million, neither is what else he offers considering what Madrid got.

I just think considering the transfer fees involved in both transfers and the respective roles each player plays in the team the Altintop transfer is more reasonable and makes more sense.

But hey, that's just me...

Coentrao should replace Khedira I assume. You just don't spend € 30 million for a substitute. And on the left flank I don't see Coentrao taking Ronaldo's or Marcelo's place either and LB is not the position to keep rotating. With Mourinho blaming Khedira for a loss (untypical for Mourinho, normally he blames the pitch, ball boys, referees, everyone but his players) and Coentrao being his countryman, I can see Coentrao taking his place.

Coentrao has already justified his 30 million price tag by missing an open goal from 5 yards out, worse than Torres. Somebody should make a gif of that. I mean I don't give a fuck if he does well or totally flops but it really pissed me off how some of the resident Madridsta here would constantly shit on the Sanchez transfer yet they would resort to all sorts of arguments (Coentrao plays in the Portugese league which is better than Serie A, Coentrao has CL group stage experience but Alexis doesn't ) to try and justify his price tag, Sanchez has already shown how massive he can be and Coentrao has looked like just like a squad player, sorry to bring it up but it really pissed me off at the time.

Diarra in tax fraud probe
(AFP) – 4 hours ago
PARIS — Real Madrid's France international Lassana Diarra is facing charges relating to a tax fraud probe by police in Le Havre, the French regional paper Paris-Normandie reported on Friday.
The 26-year-old defender has been placed under official judicial investigation, added the paper.
Football agent John Williams has also been targeted in the affair, notably for his role in Diarra's 20 million euro (£18.9 million) transfer from Portsmouth to Real Madrid in January 2009.
As well as Portsmouth, with whom he won the 2008 FA Cup, the defender who started out with French side Le Havre also had spells with two other English sides, Arsenal and Chelsea.

It's interesting, although entirely unsubstantiated, an article in Sport regarding what precipitated the BBQ event...Speculation was that there was a mini mutiny after the draw with Racing and underscored a division within the clubhouse of Mendes & Co vs everyone else

Never believed Mou's approach was sustainable for very long at the capital club...should they drop further back, good chance we'll see Mou himself distance himself from the club as well

Real Madrid youth team acquired Alex Craninx, a 15 year old keeper who is 191cm (6'3) tall and he's still going to grow. He's apparently very, very talented and agile for his height. Will see how he develops in Real's youth system.
