Looks like if we're getting a RB then it will be someone young who will take up some development time. He wouldn't sign to be the 2nd choice for 3-4 more seasons (assuming eventually we will sell him somewhere once he ages), maximum 2 last years of his contract with quite a bit of rotation time.

Also, Albiol wants to stay. Strange considering he can actually get decent playing time elsewhere at this point of his career and in Madrid Varane will be the priority.

Arbeloa is a very underrated player. He can play anywhere across the real madrid backline, so can cover those positions, thus he is a good squad member to have. I am happy for him remaining in Madrid for at least 2 more years as he deserves it.
