Robinho (ex-Madrid): "Neymar to Barça or Madrid? Barça, no doubt. For everything. They are a team that welcomes Brazilians warmly."

I thought this would be appropriate here.

Typical. An overhyped failure trying to blame it on the club. But, yes, Neymar should go to Barca and teach Alexis how it's properly done.

You guys should consider Neymar srsly now. ALthough he wants to move to Barcelona (I don't think he'll fit in with the Barca players SORRY NEYMAR FANS), he'll probably do better at RM

The ideal thing for him would be to go to a mid-table team where he'll get guaranteed at least 90 minutes a week. But no, he'll join either Barca (most likely) or RM, or a rich club (PSG, Chelsea, Man City, Anzhi,). Whichever he goes to, he'll have too much pressure (at a very young age while getting used to the atmosphere) and too few minutes. Final result = Robinho 2.0

Pressure? He's already under enough pressure as it is. He's been crowned Pele's successor by the man himself, he is seen as Brazil's best player, and we all know how much pressure Brazil puts on their football team never mind their best player and is known as the best young player in the world. If the pressure hasn't broken him now it never will. Neymar is extraordinarily strong minded, most of us would have crumbled mentally by now if we were in his shoes. In fact, moving to Europe will actually make it easier on him, so he isn't surrounded by the Brazilian press all the time, who pin all their countries hopes on winning the WC in 2014 on him.

Moving to Europe isn't going to suddenly turn him into a frightened kitten, the teams here aren't even that good lmao. People over hype European football to the extreme, but most of the teams are shit, just looking at some of the teams in the CL groups stages over the years shows us this. Neymar will have no problem at all adjusting here, the club which gets him will have one hell of a player in their hands.

The European media is worse than in Brazil. Not many people follow the Brazilian league but in Europe every mistake he makes will be covered by all forms of media. That's much more pressure than Pele could ever put on him, especially when he's gonna be fighting for a spot on the starting lineup. I like Neymar as a player, he could be the next Ronaldinho for all we know, but he'll just mess up his future just like Lucas has by going to a big club. Who is he gonna bench, Pedro, Villa, or Sanchez? To get enough minutes, he'll have to bench one of them AND ruin your youngsters' future with the club.

Neymar's arrival would imply Villa's departure no doubt. A reason more why I hope that Neymar won't sign for us soon. 2014 (or even later) would be better.

Neymar is going to surprise a LOT of people when he finally arrives. I am going to enjoy watching people eat their words. The next Robinho! Come on...

Madridistas are in full spin mode since they know they have virtually no shot at the player...They want him to fail

I agree with those who say that Neymar should go to a mid-tier team. From the games I've seen, Neymar really faded when facing tought opposition. I don't think that at this moment he is a position to be in the starting 11 in any of the top teams. He should get experience playing against tough teams and he should be playing full matches.

He's a good player with great potential, but the hype around him is too much. I hope he does not transfer straight to barca.

Luis Alvaro (president Santos): "There are contacts with Real Madrid and Barcelona, but we'll do anything for Neymar to stay." [reespn]
Beast, what are the odds that CR7 goes to City, and that Neymar comes to Madrid to replace him? ;)
