You never needed a Glacticos era, all you needed was new and young blood thats all. But i don't see why you're still hanging onto Raul and Guti? maybe because they're home-grown but mostly guti.. Has lost it.

I beg to differ Momo... Real had plenty of young blood.. they needed experience (26-28 ) year old and cracks..

as team we had one of lowest average age squads.. the likes of Higuain-Lass-Gago-marcelo + the Dutchies ...etc all early 20's

the only old players were Raul-Guti-Ruud (out ) - Dudek (never play ) - Salgado (Rarely play ) and Cannavaro..
that's 6 players out of 25 members

If not young then new, like the old serving team-member who won it all must go because they don't have desire anymore. Like we did with Ronnie and Deco (almost Eto'o last year).

I'm not disagreeing in any way with your views on Raul & Guti.. i was calling for them to leave couple of years now..
even though Raul still has the hunger and will to keep on scoring and playing sometimes his legs can't carry him and he is lost and apart from scoring we needed new blood upfront..
Guti frustrate the shit out of everyone.. when he is in the mood he can provide magic .. but he hardly is ..
1 game every 10 .. sometimes he pops them out in the weirdest moment.. like his Getafe freekick last season
Marca is reporting that Frank (your Frank ) want Guti to join him in Turkey.. i think this is great news

Yeah i agree, i think better news would be if Guti left but i don't think he's willing to. After all he IS under a contract.

You must be the only Madrista that believes that.

that must be excluding the only people that matters.. the man who run the club, the president and the manager and 51 % of the fans who wanted him out
he HAD strong influence especially on the last Administration but as i predicted back in February , Perez arrival would single the end of Raul regime in the club
Salgado was a very close friend of Raul and he was taken on board Raul power trip the last 2-3 years despite providing nothing on the pitch .

Both legends but time wait for no one

Madrid still having Raul will come back to bite them, he will turn into a negative influence if he isn't already.

rumor has it that inter % madrid have agreed a 19m € deal for sneijder, but the player is refusing to leave madrid. same goes for chelseas interst, he's not keen on moving.

as for raul...your both right IMO. sunny is right that raul has some powet in the club, somehting to say. but beast is also right, because the influence he still has is way infirior to what is used to...see salgados release. it's no longer " raul has spoken, so it shall be done". his words will be taken under adviece like the words of a legend for the club and a captain, but nothing more.

i'm more interested in what he can do on the pitch...the hardcore raulistas claim, that if you put world class players around raul like kaká, cristiano, xabi & (damn that hurts) benzema, raul will improve and level his game.
IMO, you can't really argue with that, since it's all hypothetical, thus i'm curious to see what will happen.

no Rumor Nandor.. Goal.com is not a source for Real Madrid rumors .

Raul will improve his level this year.. if only to prove his doubters wrong
