All this changing with the Kaka' situation is playing havoc with my smeer campaign against him. Could only quickly make this up during a dull GP. As promised with a watermelon Gio, though when he won't play I had to go for a different angle. Kind of like being "axed!" :beer2:

If you think we will accept anything less than 50m then you are living in cloud cuckoo land.

I've read that already, thought you'd meant something ground breaking. ]

Do you honestly really believe torres will even for one miniscule second consider real madrid?!

I accept he will move on sooner rather than later. I also accept we will not see a dime of that money for players. The money will go in to the americans pockets.

Barca will obviously be his first choice but these days you never know

it will be very intersting to see what will happen to fernando torres, IF liverpool will have to sell him.

i just can't see him at any other english club (chelsea, manu, city) and i don't think he'll be lured by the serie a. if he should leave, it's most likely to be for a return to spain. but in spain there is not that much of "big clubs" he could go to in order to boost his career. it would be down to barca or real (if he want to make a step forward, otherwise he could return to atleti). barca has just bought ibracadabra and don't need a torres like striker. real on the other hand let ruud go, raul is about to retire (or whatever) and benzemas situation is far from clear. if there is serious chance to get a world class striker like torres or david villa, IMO he'll be sacrificed.

the most interesting thing will be to see how fernando torres will decide, when there is serious interest. we all know his preferences, but so far, it's all just hypothetically, therefore easy to turn down. you really never know in todays world of football.

I just can't see Torres joing Real. That would be some betrayal to his favourite club! I believe he once stated he'd never sign with Real, too.

like i said jesse, it will be very intersting to see what he would decide, if there was a concrete offer.

his options are not that much:

- i don't think he's tempted by italy. juve & milan are not that strong like they used to be in europe and inter is on a jinx in europe.
- england would mean a betrayal to his love for liverpool.
- real would mean a betrayal for atleti...so his only serious option would be barca. and if they don't make an offer, what would he do???

if you love that much you push yourself into a corner. IF (big IF) the day would come where he has to weigh up his love for atleti & liverpool against his career from a pure sporting point of view, i don't know if the love will win.

right now, with no concret situation, it's easy to rule in favor of love. but be that as it may, whoever gets torres - should he leave - will have one of the best strikers in the world with the best still ahead of him.
