I'd be delighted to see M. Diarra leave Madrid, he's genuinely the only player in their squad whom I fear when I see the starting lineup because he has the ability to shut down the opposition midfield. No other player they have can do that, Lassie certainly can't which is why he's utterly exposed whenever the scum play quality opposition.

+1 (much better than Gascherano)

Not only much better but we can get him for much less $$ and he has La Liga experience but the problem is that he's 29 and Mascherano is 24. Plus I doubt he will come from Madrid and even if he did Madrid will try to get every cent from us so :icon_confused: why not keep Toure :)

I wouldn't want M. Diarra at Barça for the simple reason that he's African and will be out of action for the best part of a month every other year when the ANC takes place.

true that CA

on another note kaka has scored for brazil, he needs to bring that form to madrid for them to challenge the league.

He did bring that to Madrid lately against Atletico , the problem is when Manu switch to 4-2-2-2 like Alco second game

I'm all for keeping Toure...I was just saying if Pep doesn't want the Ivorian for whatever reason, i'd take Diarra over Gascherano.
Correction - Diarra is 28, Gascherano is 25.

So, u wouldn't want Africans just because of the ANC regardless of how good they are? A big club like us shouldn't have a prob filling in for a player or 2 for a month.(although, we lack squad depth this season)...But, if a club like chelsea can manage, i don't see why we can't.(and i dont mean just this season). Having a good squad in terms of both quality & depth can help address this prob. But to miss out on gr8 African players just because of the ANC is stupid in imo.

If Real gets rid of Dilja it's gonna be the same stupid mistake as getting rid of Makele.

I wouldn't want Diarra because there are non-Africans who can do as well or better and will be at the club full time. One month every two years may not sound like a lot but that one month could make the difference in a season and in the long term project at the club. If the tournament were held every four years it would be far less of an issue but as things stand I believe it's a factor when considering whether to sign a player or look elsewhere, especially given Barça's situation where we're looking at being extremely light in midfield when Yaya and Keita head off in January.

That's due to Txiki's ineptness to bring in more players. With a bigger & better squad, we could & can address the prob. And, i definitely like to see talented African players(</= 2) in our team.

If Barca even hint on Momo Diarra it will mean he will stay in Real ..
Anyhow CR successfully passed all the tests and will be fully discharged on Thursday

Yeah 17 years of service , he will always be a legend in my eyes and our history but every story must come to an end someday.
he prepared his successor already and i think his successor will wear his number and i would like to see Raul as a manager one day i believe he could be quiet good after a long experience under the likes of Capello,Del Bosque,Valdano,Guus..etc

Don't forget Heynckes, Queiros, Schuster, Ramos, Toshack, Camacho, Luxemburgo, Lopez Caro, etc. etc. the poor man must be confused out of his mind when it comes to understanding what a manager does. If anything he's going to continue the sporting director job he had under Calderon, sacking Schuster and hiring Ramos was a great bit of work by Raul and his agent!
