Waste one of the most dangerous midfielders as a "pass to Xavi" DM? I go against that.

What about Nigel de Jong? He seemed to be the counter version of Busi at finals, although his game wasn't fantastic as Busi.
I'm also a huge fan of Mikel Obi. Just putting his name out there as well, seeing that Chelsea would never give away Essien.

Monster Masch
I remember Zapater was linked with us years ago, but i'm not convinced he has lived up to his potential. And if this is a poll about DM's being linked with Barca through the media, where is the most obvious one - Mascherano?

Based on that list, i've voted for Palacios, he's very tough, comfortable on the ball and has the passing game to do the job. However, if we sign Cesc, I think we'll have the players to cover the positions. Obviously the worst cases of injuries wouldn't help, but you can't think that way.

In Lucho we trust!
Sissoko all day long, or Javi Martinez (although he probably isn't suited to being a replacement for Yaya).

but annan looks like a good option....

I've been a huge fan of Annan since I saw him on Football Manager. He looked solid for Ghana, and he played the DM in a 4-3-3 similar to the way we want our DM's to play.

Plus, he's playing for Rosenborg in Norway, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind moving to Barcelona for a change....

Capoue does look like a very promising player to be honest. He has this tendency of finding or at least looking for those amazing defense splitting passes. Moves well, technically looks good. He probably moves fast as well. I think we should get him, he would be a good back up for Sergi and may even win fair share of minutes on the pitch.
