Mahrez a good option on the right?
I believe the Algerian is a great option on the right flank, his direct running, clinical dribbles and passes is similar to that of neymar jr and would aid Messi to a more central role

If we start looking to players like Mahrez, it means that we are becoming a small team. He is good but definitely not Barca level.

Yeah, I think it's a rumor being spread by his agent. Nothing from any source in Spain on this atm. Gives them more leverage with the clubs they're actually talking to.
Wouldn't be surprised if it's just Chelsea and the rumors linking him to other clubs (Tottenham and Barca) are being spread by his agent to milk Chelsea. Don't think he'd be talking with 3 clubs at the same time after it's basically confirmed he's leaving Leicester. Should have decided on a club by now, the rest are probably a negotiation tactic to get as good a deal from his new club as possible.

I would say 70% to Chelsea and 30% to Barcelona. We actually do know that both teams want to sign a winger. Chelsea just lost OX and it makes sense that they are after Mahrez. Same for Barcelona. Di Maria seems a bit tough to get and Lemar is not possible since he is being targeted by Liverpool.

We won't get him because he's not a target for us (and because Coutinho is, probably don't want to burn bridges with Liverpool at this stage), but we'd probably have him if he were.

Lemar would easily choose Barca over Liverpool. Iniesta is his idol.
Problem is.....we're not going to try to sign him, or at least try seriously in our hope of Liverpool miraculously selling Coutinho to us after they sign Lemar.

True. We absolutely can get him, but we are going to let him go so we can get Coutinho. Getting Lemar means 100% Coutinho is not coming. Liverpool will not sell Coutinho if they do not get Lemar. That is just what I think.

Exactly. I do not think we need wingers anymore; however, I would 100% take Mahrez over Di Maria.
