Ronald Koeman

How come people value results over performance so clearly all of a sudden? Then why were people opposing Valverde?

Things are already looking more promising on the long term with Koeman. Short term, no we might not get the desired results.

people opposed Valverde because they were delusional about the quality of our squad

Huh? One of the main demands was that Valverde should starts renovate the squad. Everybody saw it sucks and many wanted to start phasing out many veterans around last Luchos season already, not to mention after Roma fiasco. Instead he squeezed last juices out of the oldfags and left us with squad of hopeless pants shitting geezers. Obviously it's also on board.

Dawg you are becoming the Victor Font of this forum. Every post or comment of yours has Valverde in it.

Oh, don't mind me. I am just repeating last seasons narrative. For this season it's that Messi is to blame for our league standings.

Alvaro Cervera (Cadiz coach): "We were lucky Dembele didn't start. We liked when we saw that Coutinho played because you know that he only offers danger from a long shot or a through ball to Alba. As a team, he is easier to defend."

True. Dembele offers chaos. Good or bad.

I think we might get burned badly with Laporta. Normally, you don't elect people based on good old days nostalgia. I'd prefer Font and Xavi.

Worked well for RM, and Laporta is actually younger than Perez in 2009
Font might be a guy who is all talk and no substance, or could be a real futuristic with a vision. He is the type of high risk high reward type of candidate. A guy that could be significantly worse than Barou, or even significantly better than anyone ever.
Laporta campaign so far is underwhelming, that is undeniable though. Will wait to see if he picks it up during next few weeks.

But....Xavi is basically nostalgia?

Kind of different in my opinion, as he's returning in a completely different role than last time. I want Laporta back myself but I can fully understand people's misgivings after the whole 2015 election and his apparent lack of ideas this time too as he's been quite cagey about them.

His only real statement so far was that he's gonna rename La Masia's motto to You'll Never Walk Alone  He's out here trying to give us daily reminders about the Anfield comeback.

And Koeman is doing exactly same, except bad result in Liga.
There is no board now so he surely has all of his power to make thing right.
