In Koemans defense. The team is built by an idiot. Terrible terrible football team. He couldn't get any own signings because lack of money and he is stuck with the disfunctional roster.

No coach would dominate with this team. It's just not good enough.

He's to blame as well. Nobody is accusing him that we're not dominating the league. But Koeman is all over the place. We simply can't waste too much time with mediocre managers. One year and if you don't show promise, let the next guy have a go.

Every decent manager has aspects that are noteworthy. We're not looking for that, but for much better. In the summer we need to part ways in the best way possible. That's assuming it doesn't take long until we secure top 4.

To me, he's a steady cup manager. Even when he underwhelmed at Benfica and Valencia domestically they had decent CL and cup runs. It's probably why the Netherlands job has been his best performance since PSV. We all know he isn't a top top manager, the last 20 years have told us that, although he's definitely okay. But Bartomeu had no idea which way to turn after the 8-2, pretended he had a plan and really was just looking at the Barca ancestry tree to find the next manager with that Barca DNA.

He's ok as a manager. But so far at Barca, he's well under what I'm expecting. Nowhere near enough to get him another year.

"In the first half we had trouble playing from the back. I don't know why, whether out of fear or for some reason, but we didn't do well."

The fact that he doesn't know why is really really concerning to me.

true, setien actually had a better win rate in the league than koeman. which is saying something. we are literally fighting for 4-5th spot under the dutch man... needs to go

That's more down to not having opened the Messi cesspit and having a CF.

But certainly Koeman is a classic case of a Cule moron of his age, way in over his head and should have stuck to his guns with the Netherlands. Only positives coming up so far is the unapologetic attempt at meritocracy even if at the cost of the title race. Focusses on those who give something good to the team, not those people you'd think he'd focus on improving.

We should not expect more than a 4th place in La Liga this year, probably behind AM, RM, and Sevilla.

That will be really good for me for this season.

Koeman definitely has his flaws and tactically he bewilders many, but I felt we have been quite unlucky this season so far, in how many games I lost track our poor finishing let us know numerous times. If that had been just slightly better we wouldn't be where we are right now, sitting in a pit. We did create opportunities but just couldn't convert and materialize.

The other thing is, I know we can't play like we did against Real Socidad in the first half in every game but how can we be so hot and cold from one game to another, this is probably on Koeman.

No shit. A simple case of 3 defenders pinned back by 3 attackers applying pressure. And from then on you only have 1-2 players in the center trying to receive the ball (Pjanic mostly who is quite old and slow). No wonder Eibar had it easy.

He needs to take a look at Pep's 3-4-3 in Barca - Bayern in 2015, and how he changed it quickly after 15 mins or so. Man is very limited tactically.

If he pulls this shit vs PSG at home, the tie is over in 15 mins before he knows what happened .

I just have that feeling that the PSG tie will be an utter disaster.

I don't understand why Koeman didn't changed the shape after the first 20-25 mins. in the first half. We could clearly see that we had a hard time playing out from the back.

Koeman could have easily changed the shape/formation without subbing anyone on by putting Mingueza as a RB (which he did in the 2nd half) and asking Dest to play as a winger temporarily.

Instead, we wasted valuable time trying to build up with 3 at the back.

Building with 3 at the back vs a 4-3-3 press . That's like every horizontal pass that should go from CB to CB quickly to change the side had one extra station, the 3rd defender .

He tried but as soon as we get a president he'll be gone. Font or Laporta who are the favourites will want to bring in their coach as soon as possible.

Who can we afford? We have no money to bring in a quality manager. We have no money to let Koeman go.

Yeah, we could bring in Xavi, but I feel that's going to end in disaster. He doesn't have much experience, and he won't have any money to change things.

Xavi is the best bet at discovering the next Guardiola. Surely has the football brain to be an elite manager. Man's head is like a book on football and tactics.

If he fails, then it's time we go for big names.

I'm convinced Xavi would do a better job than Koeman.
