Enrique had an all time great roster of players but so have other coaches:

Look at his 14/15 season and 2015

60 Games - 50 W (highest % in European football history), treble

175 goals scored, only 37 goals conceded in 60 games. All time European record for goal difference.

We beat Atletico Madrid X 5, Real Madrid x 2, Bayern Munich, Juventus, PSG x 2, City x 2 in 2015 in 14 games. 13 W in 14 games against top tier opponents home or away is obsence.

Enrique in 2015 achieved a peak maybe only 2-3 other club sides have achieved lol.

These two sentences basically encompass my opinion. I rate Luis Enrique at a solid level(as I said before I think he will do well with Spain), but we have to acknowledge the players he had at his disposal.

enrique would struggle hard with this team like he did in roma

Thinking same.

the football manager role is overrated anyway. you don't have to be a genius to win something at a big club, if you have the best players.

aside from 2-3 guys that bring something new and try to innovate, it's all the same bullshit formations used by all teams. the same shitty football.

Our 2015 team was ridiculously good though.

Enrique is a good motivator and solid in managing great players. I am not sure he is an astute tactician though.
I see him more similar to Zidane and his strengths.

Now, the moment I read that Koeman will be paired with Schreuder (astute tactician) and Larson, I thought that this combination might work. Koeman has the right mentality and can reinvent the authority a Barca coach should have, whatever he lacks on the tactical plane can be covered by his assistants.
And thankfully it worked.

But I wanna give him another season with his signings. I want the no 10 situation to be sorted out and either Messi to stay and Griez/Cou to leave or vice versa.
Let's see what Koeman can do with Winaldum next to Frenkie and Ansu/Dembouz/Depay upfront.
I am hopeful we will win the league again with the team Koeman wants to build

Incredibly frustrating that Koeman cannot get any additional players. PSG are favorites imo. We will need alot of luck to get past them.
Koeman has far exceeded my expectations. I though we would struggle to make top four but we're sitting in second.
We need Fati back. He'll add some goals. Pique back would also be great.
Injuries, no signings, off field drama, kids playing and we still second. Very good so far.

"I knew Bar?a's moment was complicated for many reasons, I don't mind being a spokesman for the club but I am the coach, which is already an important role," Koeman said Tuesday.

"We need a president. If things go well on the pitch, everyone else at the club has it easier, but we need a president."

"A club like Barcelona cannot be without a president and we will see what happens above all to plan for the future at this great club."

Feel bad for him. Must be hard to work with a puppet like Tusquets. Gotta say he is handling the situation very well. His response to the leak of Messi's contract was presidential.

He is doing a nice job so far, specially the speechs.

But that second place is not a performance as Real Madrid is doing shittier job than us.

So in reality it's a matter of whom doing a worse job rather than being the second best team in the league 10kms behind AM.

PSG will finish his club coaching career.

This guy is an average of a manager as one could possibly get.

No. Koeman is doing a good job with the resources he has. The team plays exciting attacking football. Youngsters are getting gametime.
