Guess who was ref in the Supercup final when the Bilbao guy headbutts De Jong in the face violently, and not even a yellow. Then Messi does a gesture with a way lower intensity and he gives him red. This guy is involved in numerous scandals related to Barca and Madrid matches. In opposite ways of course. He's imo a big Madrid fan and has issues keeping it professional and impartial.

Doesn't happen all the time, but nearly all controversies, when they do happen, are in the same direction. Usually pro-Madrid, and against Barca. I even said before Clasico, that any ref is good as long as it's not Manzano. Lahoz is a mountain of fairness compared with that guy. Much to proud of himself and his importance to act in the service of one team anyway.

Lots of talk about individuals' deeds and personnel choice. But it's not like a single player cost us the match. For instance, Alba was certainly among the worst, but also probably Barca's most dangerous player. Has to push forward, attack, and leave space behind (which Lenglet didn't really bother covering, still...) I agree with folks saying 433, play with wingers, give or take, would've provided more cover. 3 at the back is not inherently weak or anything, though as everything suits better some situations.

But imo the main problem was the approach. Koeman sent the team to attack like there was no tomorrow since the start. All the flaws mentioned here were emphasized and made more prominent by that. Real won the game early, but feels like Koeman was naive in his approach. Bit like Children's crusade into the Holy Land. They had us where they wanted us.

He has lost a lot of the big games this season. The quality of play in those games has been better, but the results have been disappointing.

I think he has done a good job overall as manager given the circumstances and don't mind him staying another season, but wouldn't be upset if Laporta goes for someone else.

1/9 pts vs Top 2. No team aspiring to win the league can expect to succeed with a record like that

Nothing has changed for me with respect to Koeman. I see a young, talented & hungry team that lacks a coach with tactical accumen/ingenuity to out maneuver his opponent. I have no confidence that will change under Ron - good transition coach considering circumstances due to his strong personality & understanding of the club & its pressures

Made all the more a joke when Atletico game y'day had 6 extra minutes.

Should have AIR (articficial intelligence ref - my trademark so suck my balls FIFA) to calculate extra minutes.
