Ronald Koeman: "We have to be realistic. Today, with the changes we are making with the team, it is difficult to keep up with very big teams." [movistar] You can't stop him. Although it's true. But...

I miss the "If they can score four goals against us, we can score six" - mentality, but this club has lived way too long from the illusion of being the best club in the world.

All this guy does is make excuses. Terrible manager.

You don't even hear things like this from the likes of Ajax, Napoli, Roma, Dortmund etc...

It's pretty clever of him to repeatedly say so. It puts us in the role of underdog and will take away pressure from youngsters.

He's just working on his excuse/narrative when he inevitably gets sacked, which hopefully is sooner rather than later. Maybe he already knows that his days are numbered, there has been plenty of smoke lately.

I don't care what he says if he continues to start young players like he did vs Levante.

wasn't he kind of forced to play them? which oldies were benched but not injured?

this whole playing youngsters thing around koeman is a bit overrated, as he doesn't have other options.

Yes Barca are 6th. 5 points behind Real with a game in hand. But a team without Messi, one that has unloaded anybody possible to save money, signed whatever freebie - Garcia, Aguero as two examples - they could get their hands on, but they are still unbeaten.
Koeman this season looks bulletproof.

If he goes invincible and wins treble I wouldn't even give him a 1 year contract.

That type of black magic you don't fuck with ever

It's Koeman's Dutch directness and honesty which most fans dislike. They would prefer to see their manager sounding more optimistic publicly even if he's "lying" to them and they all know that.

Guillem Balague said something like this during the Levante game and I agree with him (eventhough I don't like him too much).

A loss here would put Barca in a very tough situation in terms of making it to the KO stage.

The lineup and setup were pretty bad.
