He picked the right assistants, I believe, and that is why I am very excited for next season. I genuinely cannot recall when I was this excited for Barcelona.

No idea why stuff like that gets consistently ignored when talking about coaches. Its not a one man show. There are so many different influences and circumstances that its pretty much impossible to predict how things will turn out. The most important quality I want to see in a headcoach is leadership. Setien and Valverde had none. Second most important quality is to actually listen to his coaching staff ;S

True, but it starts with a manager. A top manager usually works with better professionals than lesser managers.

Because we don't know what happens behibd the scenes.
I remember how people speculated that assistant of Rijkaard,Pep are the real brains of the coaching stuff. It didn't turn that way.
OTOH having better assistant didn't help Kovac in Bayern.
Managers take huge responsibilities, that is why we care about them and less about assistant

Ten Cate was constantly praised not only by former players, but also others in that coaching staff team of Rijkaard. I do think some assistants can be much better than others, but yes most responsibility is on the manager.

Koeman needs to get on a healthy diet.

Most top coaches these days (Pep, Klopp, Zidane, Loew, Simeone etc) look in great shape.

A Barca legend, but has done nothing to warrant himself a place as a Barca manager.I also have big doubts about his football philosophy,he always struck me as an defensive manager. But anyway,if Valvderde and Setien were managers here, than why not this guy?Everything is possible under Bartoshit.
