Although the score and everything looks great it really doesn't represent that the game in fact was a close game. France did just fine today.

*The scores were tied 3-3 and the All Blacks got their first try from a charge down. Soon after a missed that Penalty from france had them still at losing at 6 points to 10 when really it could have been 9-3 in favor of France. The All Blacks got a try right before halftime to make it 29-13. The score at halftime could have been All Blacks 17-16 France or something similar.

*In the second half France were pressuring the All Blacks in the first 5 mins. France got down in the All Blacks 22m area. France commited foul play and got sent off. France could have scored another try to get them into the 20's but instead the All Blacks got let off the hook and with France down to 14 men the All Blacks soon scored another try. The next 28 points that the All Blacks scored count for nothing really because at 34-13 the game was already won.

I'm not saying that France would have beaten the All Blacks.
France played well.

Constantly amazes me the conveyor belt of talent the all blacks keep churning out. Great side after great side. If Ireland don't win it, I sincerely hope the all blacks do

The scouting happens in the school scene. You have Rugby 1st 15's and 1st 15's elite competion in each of the 5 Franchises (Spliting New Zealand into 5 sections - Highlanders, Chiefs, Crusaders, Blues and Hurricanes). The best players are generally offered scholorships or subsidized Schooling to lure them into leaving their school to join a the elite 1st 15 schools. The winners of the 5 Franchises end up facing off to determine the New Zealand Champion school (there is also a boys competition for Co-ed schools to determine the co-ed champion, although some co-ed schools are good enough to compete in the elite 1st 15 competition and in recent years 1 school won it twice in a row).

While at school you can get developed as an provincial U-17, U-16 rep, National rep etc. After finishing school the best youngters (such as Ardie Savea) will make it straight to the New Zealand elite national Provincial competition (Known as the ITM Cup). Each of the 5 sections I mentioned earlier have 2 to 3 provinces such as Auckland, Otago , Tasman and Canterbury. If your not the best of the best then you can play for the B teams such as Canterbury B. Early the next year while the Super Rugby is on (the Highlanders, Crusaders etc are playing) you will play in the development teams. - http://www.chiefs.co.nz/the-club/the-club/2015-02-01-04-11-33/chiefs-cup-and-trophy/75-2015-chiefs-cup-chiefs-trophy-kicks-off-this-weekend

The Crusader Knights is Canterbury’s development squad and includes both players from the Crusaders wider training group and development players selected from academies within the Crusaders franchise area.
“This is a brilliant opportunity for some of our most talented young players to gain match experience at a higher level. It compliments the work that the Crusaders are doing by allowing non-selected Crusaders squad members to get match practice, and it also gives the franchise development players the chance to play alongside some of these more experienced players. - http://www.allblacks.com/News/18597/kiwi-investec-super-rugby-development-teams-kick-off-season

Ardie Savea: Elite 1st 15 competition while representing Wellington Youth teams and the New Zealand 1st 15 schools team. His development continued after he left school. In the New year he was in the Hurricanes development squad during the Super Rugby. He then later that year played for Wellington in the ITM Cup and New Zealand U-20. As the new Year rolled around he was selected in the Hurricanes Super Rugby Squad. The rest is history https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ardie_Savea

I like watching the New Zealand cricket team to mate and it's amazing that they produce test quality sides given

A) the population and

B) it's a rugby orientated nation

Love to visit New Zealand one day

There are so many levels and grades that the rise is almost seamless. The gap between the ITM cup and Super Rugby is not that great. Everyone who isn't in the All Blacks squad of 30 is playing in the ITM cup. Those who don't make it to the Super Rugby will still get gametime during the Super Rugby Next year in the Development teams, while most rest will play club rugby allowing those such as myself to do pre-season training with ITM Cup level players (should I choose to play rugby - There are many club teams that would allow a beginner like myself to get a trial and a taste to play with some ITM Cup level players). Former All Black Ben Atiga had a break from rugby. I did pre-season training with him when he was beginning from the bottom again. It was inspiring to be training with him. It would be the same for Dan Carter if he had had a break from rugby for a couple of years. He would have to play Club Rugby. Imagine pre-season training with him or making the club A team with him.

Unbelievably as it might seem. In New Zealand, more 16-24 year olds play football than Rugby.
