It's quite refreshing to see players like him playing for other clubs and not feeling a bit jealous.

We good, we have two players quite capable in that position. One of them, Bernal, if all things go well, will be our Busi replacement for a decade

Respect to Slot for making him so integral after flopping at Bayern and being average in his first season under Klopp.
He flopped at Bayern because he was mispositioned.
He doesn't have the eye for final balls or ability to score himself.
Whenever he finds himself close, around, or inside, the box his mind gets an 'error 404'

The genius of Slot is that (like all GREAT coaches) he found his real position: ball-retainer DM/CM and not an AM or an 8.
Tons of examples with great coaches doing that: Flick with Raphina, Klopp with Winaldum, 2000 Ancelotti did it with Pirlo, etc.

Surprising that Klopp did not see it last season

Frankly, he was useless last season. The fanbase wanted him gone and for good reason.

I would not say useless, he could glide easily past opponents, but it was evident that close to the box he did not know what to do

Now he is perfect some meters behind circulating the ball and never losing it
