Khedira is actually very technically limited. About the only thing he really excels is breaking up play with physicality, which is why he was a favorite of Mourinho's, and the only reason he is a starter for Germany as he is their only player capable of being a mindless wrecking ball.

Wouldn't surprise me if Madrid actually did better without him. I actually think Casemiro is a very interesting option for them, and I'm very surprised he hasn't played more.

I think Madrid coaches more often than not are too busy trying to keep their jobs, to actually do their job.

Seriously? Nothing against him, but if there was one reason why Real won the Champions League, it's because he had his injury which allowed Modric to take his place.

His only qualities are his physicality and stamina. He misplaces a lot of easy passes and the timing of his forward runs are often very bad. Defensively he is often in wrong positions, even though he is good at tackling. His finishing is decent too. So not more than a limited but hard working box-to-box player. "False 8" describes him pretty well too.
