Samuel Umtiti

Samuel Umtiti is not well physically. The defender underwent a knee treatment today, as it was quite swollen. [as]

It was very evident yesterday. Every time he had to sprint he was limping a little bit.

His knee is a ticking time bomb but it seems not everyone in upper management seemed to have grasped it.

Why the hell we loaned Todibo out leaving us with 3 CBs which includes one that has a ticking time bomb for a knee I'll never understand.

You know what is really weird? How can a bunch of forum users with no professional association to football have identified that Umtiti is a ticking time bomb and that loaning out Todibo, even if he is not ready or will ever be ready, was a bad decision. At least, without bringing another CB. Considering that Pique is 32 and all..
Furthermore, most of these forum users have spotted the need for a no.9, even as a backup, since Suarez is 33yo also and had an ongoing injury problem, throughout last season.

And when I am talking about the forum users, I am talking about most of them, regardless if they belong in the "Forum de amigos" or the "Ev Cult" or whatever. Almost everyone recognised these problems. And the fucking professionals who work for one of the biggest clubs in the world can't foresee these issues.
It's staggering. Actually no, It is an undeniable fact that they are either massively incompetent or don't give a shit as long as the money flow is alive and well.

I don't understand why the management seen in Araujo and thought "Wow this guy is better than Todibo".

I like Araujo but he comes off as a far less talented version of the guy we just loaned and possibly sold as well. Both are Athletic CBs and share the same build as well. But Todibo was far more gifted IMO and much more suited to be a Barca CB than Araujo.

I'll give Araujo a chance, but it still doesn't make sense on what happened.

Well, I guess it was noticed that Todibo was in desperate need of playing time in order to develop. At the same time he isn't good enough to snatch minutes ahead of Umtiti.
And then there's Araujo who maybe isn't as good as Todibo, but is good enough to act as the 4th CB and be used in emergencies.

If Araujo wouldn't have been here I don't think Todibo would've been loaned out. I don't think the management sees Araujo as the better option, rather the opposite, hence why Todibo was shipped to gain regular playing time.

Apparently his knee is fucked again... He basically sacrificed his carreer for a World Cup title, which in my opinion was the wrong thing to do, I would 100% choose a chance for a decade of highest level legacy over a chance for a highest level single title.

Its not an either/or choice. God knows how things would have turned out if he got operated, maybe he would have the same or even worse problems right now.

The only shocking part about this whole mess is our boards foresight.
