Carrick is an average player.

England should play 4-3-3 with Gerrard as the AM and Milner and Wilshere as the CM's. As Wilshere is not fit then I would play Rodwell.

Milner has impressed me this season for City. His work rate, work ethic and energy plus his dynamism in the middle is a perfect match for the craft, skill, passing and vision of Wilshere.

Although I do see Rodwell and Wilshere as the future central midfield - but Rodwell needs to leave Everton asap so he can develop better and a better club.

Let's clear a few things up.

Johnson at RB? Richards and Walker are MUCH better. Richards will be number 1. Carrick's so average he shits all over Adam, Henderson and all the other shit midfielders that play for Liverpool... and no-one said he's the 3rd most complete midfielder in the world. for the 48488585th time...can you show me where a user put that about Carrick?

Gareth Bale is 100000 times more overrated than Parker. Last year they were comparing him to Messi, and now even he's believing his own hype. a good manager would have converted him to a rampaging fullback by now. he'd be unstoppable in that role. a left-sided Maicon.

I'd like to see proof of someone actually saying that. Most gooners I know were frustrated that the media said we play like Barca, when we have a much quicker and forward passing style (which is less accurate). We're almost nothing alike apart from possession, but it's always the rivals that call us 'barca wannabes'
