I didn't root for Brazil in this match, but this was beyond painful. I feel sorry for those supporting Brazil.
I'm curious the see how Brazilian football is gonna cope. Some people are asking for a return to 'Jogo Bonito', but I'm not sure that's realistic in the short term. Most quality Brazilian midfielders are functional rather than exciting. They seem to lack deep-lying playmakers, for instance, and in my opinion those players are essential in order to 'transcend', if you will, the counterattacking, physical football that Brazil plays nowadays. Brazil would need to reinvent its style, I guess, in order to be able to properly dominate games through sheer technicality and skill. Germany made some radical youth-team improvements around 2000, so maybe Germany can show Brazil the way in more ways than one.....
Aside from that, I don't think the lack of skill was Brazil's problem against Germany. The organization was woeful, and some individual performances were disgraceful. Three additional Neymar's or Pélé's wouldn't have changed that. They were completely outplayed tactically and mentally.
Also, will the home colours remain? Brazil changed their home kit after the 'Maracanazo', and this is a worse defeat, I guess.
