Sergi Roberto

90% of his passes were back to the CB. He had one decent run that led to a freekick but that was the only positive I can think of from him.

Since Alba has returned, I haven't seen anything from Bob to suggest he should be a starter.

Good game vs Getafe but that was about it. He plays like what a squad player does, decent for filling in but that's it. He's pretty much hit his ceiling already, he has some good attributes but for the most part, he's not outstanding just middle of the road standard.

When he first started playing RB, he seemed exciting but once he gained experience he eventually just hit the ceiling and that was pretty much it. He turned out to be like I said a solid squad player, much better than the likes of Douglas at RB, or Montoya who was about as unremarkable as they come and Aleix Vidal but that's about it.

Nothing wrong with that, and Roberto hasn't struck me as a guy that would raise hell for not being a starter like some guys would.

So he got injured....

Does anyone actually care?
We have gotten to a point where Semedo is really coming into his own and being a better option at RB while also having better midfield options ahead of Roberto, that him getting injured doesn't hurt us really.

Sucks to see an injury but it's not some huge loss if he's out a few games.

Semedo was levels above Roberto when he came on yesterday too. Maybe he can cement his place while Roberto is out... then again we were told by Valverde Roberto was a midfielder this season and he’s ended up back at RB so doubt it.

If Rakitic can be dropped then Roberto can as well.

If Semedo is performing well, there's no need to pull the musical chairs crap in the RB spot again. Not like Roberto has really been that great this season anyway, had a couple of good performances but mostly has been average to just poor. Hasn't shown anything that he deserves to be a starter at RB.

Yea, we can't know for sure. Semedo played several games at LB and that's why Roberto probably played RB. Alba and Firpo both being injured at the same time mattered.

Do. Not. Pair. Him. With. Pique. In. Defense. Anymore.

Pique-Bob defensive partnership is like a cone and a black hole had a baby.

Don't pair him with anyone at all. No need when we have an actual RB and an actual substitute LB. He was supposed to be a midfielder, so play him at midfield if you feel like it. But what on earth is he doing at RB?

He plays Rb because of Messis lack of positional play on RW, and is a tactical option to Semedo, because Roberto can play in small spaces, keep. Ball close to his feets and easily roam through the center.
