Yeah he did well yesterday. Might have been too harsh on him. But come on...this is Viktoria Plitzen.

Tru but I also think he was solid in all games he has played so far this season.

Not great, not good enough to be unquestionable starter (which he won't be anyway) but mostly doing what's expected from him.

Also think that role of playing almost as 4th midfielder rather than pure RB in Xavi's system also fits him well. And of course having Dembele or Raphinha to occupy opposing defenders in front of him also helps. Unlike when Messi was still here as our on paper RW (but spending 95% of the games in the middle) when whoever played as a RB was quite isolated but still expected to build attacks and be creative like prime Alves which neither Roberto nor Semedo or Dest don't have close to enough abilities/quality for.

Will also be interesting to see how Xavi will use Bellerin who is a different profile to Roberto and probably not what he was looking for considering our primary RB targets were first Azpilicueta and then Foyth who are both more defensive minded.

Why was the Plzen player afforded all the time and space to put in the cross? No where to be seen on that goal this guy. I just knew when I saw both him AND Alba in the starting XI that Barca were never gonna keep a clean sheet.

It's amazing how much space he consistently had ALL game because Inter were flooding the box + double marking Dumbele.

What does he do? Nothing. Absolutely friggin nothing. How is this playing for FC Barcelona? Not one decent run, not one decent through ball, not one decent cross. Just shit lobs into the box hitting nobody, over and over, with ALL that space. Put a decent player in there (not even asking for KdB or Kimmich) and you've got some good chances at goal. Completely useless player.

That, and a lot of Dembele's stupid take ons were a result of him providing 0 support (together with Gavi). Where are the overlaps? Where is another option?

He wasn't anywhere close to match fitness. He should have never start.

He just came back from injury and looked slow and added nothing during the whole game.
