Can't help but feel this is some kind of 'flavour of the month' signing. Bayern being interested really doesn't make any difference, they can afford to take risks; if Dest fails we are back to Bob at RB..

Doesn't help the Fullback market now is mostly just trying to gamble on young prospects in hopes they make it.

The other good options are already at other big clubs that don't need to sell.

Bayern reported offer was 10m + 5m addons (not sure if it was their first offer though!)
They also made another one that was just a little under 20m (I do not know if that includes the addons + some recent reports say that Bayern made another improved offer, did they mean this one/ another one?)

Regardless, we are most likely going to pay 20m + 5m = 25m, while Bayern were willing to pay around 18m - 23m (just guessing).

Ajax fans don't give a shit that he left man , especially since Mazraoui has regained his form and been playing great this season. He just dropped a MOTM performance tonight from what Im reading.

Makes you wonder why we don?t go for Mazraoui instead. The only ?advantage? Dest has is his nationality being more attractive for commercial purposes.

, Barcelona & Ajax have reached an agreement for the transfer of Sergi?o Dest. Bayern Munich were unable to reach an agreement. They did upgrade their offer, but it wasn't enough. Barcelona pay ?20M + bonuses.

We paid 18+12 for Firpo. around 17 for Digne iirc.
This is the price of a 20 years old back up who might turn a starter, or at least a decent back up RB/LB for us since he can play both positions.
If he is decent and hard working player, with a working football brain he can turn into a nice deal for us even if he didn't reach the starting RB status
