Sergio Busquets

Hoping beyond hope he starts. If Masche gets exposed as CB it's Lucho's fault for being an idiot and playing him without regard to the actual matchup.

The difference between Mascherano and Busquets is limitless almost. Even if he plays horribly it's less risky than using Mascherano, who doesn't even have a single big game under his belt.

What's with all this Mascherano hate? You people realize he was BETTER than Busquets this season so far? Busq has been only good in past 2 months or so. He made quite a few defensive blunders before that (far worse, than Mascherano!) and his offensive contribution was nothing special either. I remember people at the end of 2014 saying that he should get hernia surgery, that he doesn't play well without Xaviniesta on field etc. Mascherano was more consistent, all that while being constantly moved from DM to CB.

Busquests did well when came on but the Real players looked gone by that point, not really creating anything in the 15/20 mins before he came on.

Correct, I love Busi, but after Suárez' goal Madrid was done... Busi helped to keep control, but nowhere near MOTM, even a hidden one...

He was severely missed tonight. Mascherano is nowhere near his ball control, ball circulation and vision. We lacked all of this a lot in the first half. When he came on I became more calm.

Hopefully the most retarded PL fanboys and other "football fans" will now realize how important a player he is for FCB.

I like Mascherano as a Barça centerback, but you're wrong here. Mascherano has tunnel vision offensively. Once he picks his run, he accelerates until he passes. Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta, and Pique all will switch direction of attack on a dime. That was what was missing before Busquets and Xavi entered, and why play kept tunneling down the ineffectual left side, starving Messi of the ball. Rakitic has little vision with his back to goal, and Mathieu is much like Mascherano offensively. Many times Mathieu brought the ball up, facing the left wing, but had plenty of space to his right. He didn't even glance in that direction.

Busquets doesn't have to hit over the top balls or long through balls to contribute offensively. He just needs to move the ball towards those in the best attacking position, and he has always done that brilliantly.
