You could argue he's been done since the treble season. Raki lasted until end of 2016, but this guy fell hard after treble season. That was also around the time when the game got a lot more physical (start of RM 3-peat with emphasis on crosses and counter attacks).

Teams have been exposing him in the CL since Pep left actually. The treble season was the exception.

Yeah they've exposed him in those WC/EC wins also. People in here(browse to page 570 of this thread) were sucking his dick in 2016.
But no, you were a visionary ahead of your time and you saw the decline when Pep left.

To be fair the Euro and World cup wins were back in 2010 and 2012 that he was involved in, Spain have been very shit at International tournaments since 2014.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Well, Koeman doesn't have to convince us nor the press, the matter is if he can get his point across to the (ex) footballers in our squad...

We can read as many media posts as we want, but the only way we'll know who's a goner and who has a place in his project is at the start of the season.

Every CL humiliation this past decade has had four things in common:

-Alba not performing under pressure

-Pique being a clown

-Busquets getting exposed

-Messi walking and sulking

- Suarez not scoring and moving like a bear in his last days of life.

- Manager being out of his depth.

- Most new signings being either injured, loaned, or out of form.

His level is really bad but this guy deserves a very nice farewell.

Problem is that there won?t be people in the stadium to give him that.

MD says that he stays.

We will never get rid of him.
He will probably start 48 matches again in the next season.

In the end, from amigos, we will lose only Raki and Suarez.
Only to buy Lautaro.

Which means that we will be even worse.

He won't start 48 games even if we play with a double pivot. With De Jong as the deepest midfielder, the second pivot has to be more attacking and make runs into the box, which Busi can't do. Pjanic will be the starting second pivot for sure. Koeman understands Busi's legs are gone. He will be a bench player.

But check the pattern.
None of Catalan players will be gone.

Busi, Roberto, Alba.

It's the easiest to sell old foreigners.
Busi is probably way too powerful inside of a club due to being the last remaining part of Xavi-Iniesta-Busi era.

Plus, a club needs domestic players due to emotional and political reasons.

We can't play with 11 foreigners.
With Coutinho returning, Puig on the bench and Roberto on the bench, the only two Catalan options are Alba and Busi.

Can you imagine a lineup without at least 1-2 domestic players?

So prepare yourself for a lot of Busquets this season.
