We will forever be stuck with him as a starter at this point.

It's amazing how he gets away with these shit performances every fucking time and he somehow escapes scrutiny from the Media, because they still believe this is Busi from 6+ years ago. Hell even Messi got more shit by the Media than the likes of Busi does.

"The club", with three different managers in these years, rate him differently than you do, as did all four spanish NT managers IIUC...

Busquets can never be called a deadweight btw, but even when he later doesn't hold standard anymore, fans or people witch decency should rather call him a 'former legend' or something.
Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Alves, Messi all left the club a bit early, and these are the people in the same category as Busquets, I don't know what players you call deadweights, probably those who shouldn't even be there in the first place.

Are you saying I mislabeled Busquets? He will go down as a legend but how do you call someone who is costing us goals every game directly because of his phisical abilities and is on big wages?

I call Busquets a genius, and he is far from costing Barcelona goals every game. In a good wage structure, Busquets would be on the highest wage of the team right now, I don't know if he is.

Busquets was criticized for his passing by some Barcaforum chat users last game. It wasn't his best game as I agreed, but he was the one who had a spark of creativity.
Looking at stats after the game, he made 13 passes into the final third (Gavi second on 11, then 8, 7, 4...) and 14 "progressive passes", double that of the 2nd best Barcelona player.

To repeat once again what everyone should've known in 2010 at the latest: Busquets isn't a player to defend large spaces. He isn't primarily a defensive player, but the best passer in the game. He is at his best when the team holds on to the ball, loses it in predictable places, presses in a predictable way so that he can enter and make "easy" interceptions. He IS a genius at positioning himself and reading the next defensive steps, and he is underrated as a 1v1 defender, he used his long legs to make two very nice tackles last game for example.

Seriously, if you want him out, name me a proper replacement. Heck, even Rodri is level below Busi. It shows at Euro 2020.

Don't tell me Nico. He is even slower than current Busi.

Well, he himself isn't a proper "replacement ".
I think the main issue is having sole DM , which puts a lot of pressure on the player to protect defence and being able to connect defense and midfield when we regain the ball.
atm very few players does it, it is mostly 2 players who shares the duty.
We will need to evolve, and while ee have no replacement atm, we need to replace him next summer.

A proper replacement will not play like Busi. Homestly, i can't find anyone can play like him. Barca will change style completely when Busi is no longer here.

Not really. Busi has been a key player but he's not essential to playing any style. Pep's City teams and 08-09 Barca showed that. Someone like Frenkie could be similarly good if surrounded by the same caliber of talent that Busi had around him in his prime.
