Iker Casillas (Real Madrid): "If there's one player who could break my record of most ESP games, it's Sergio (Busquets)." #euro2012 [efe]

this guy is so respected by the footballers. getting praised by del bosque, pep, xavi, iker, menotti etc like a boss.

I guess one must have played football to know how important and unique he is.

Wouldn't Casillas be talking about Sergio Ramos who is already on like 90 caps and he has only recently turned 26? ...

Iniesta pulled a croqueta only 5 seconds before that.

Busquets has a slight arrogance in his game he needs to get rid of as a defensive midfielder tbh. Nutmegging Adebayor, making Özil roll around (ok, it was funny ), the backheel flick in the 5-0 Clasico. Mostly he does that stuff when the scoreline is save but against France he pulled a backheel pass when it wasn't. That's why I don't like that kind of cocky attitude in general. He's trying to humiliate his opponents when possible. He's still 23 and super young for a defensive midfielder but he shouldn't start getting carried away. Because tbh he's certainly not having the best tournament so far.

That arrogance made him what he is today..and out off the cules present at the this EC, he is the only one(appart from Iniesta) that seams to be closer to his regular form. If it's a player who's arrogance made him forget for what team he's playing and stopped working and trying to be the best, that is Pique. Busi is one of the few players from Barca that can't be criticized after the season he had and how much he had to play.

And to be honest, I couldn't care less of his performances with Spain(especially when I know that most of the spanish hate him and want him dropped from the first XI so that Xabi and Xavi could play at their true level).

he does this shit every game. i saw this first time, although none of the commentators that i've seen so far didn't even mention that. also i was really surprised that the whatever guys showed this on replay. i've been really dissapointing with them so far on the tournament. i mean they have so many great footages, like the super slowmo, and yet they 90% show the fucking fouls. why the hell would i want to look somebody kicking somebody else? and to show that from 5 different angles to be sure if its a foul or not? this is just so wrong. there's so much of a magic going around and they don't want to show us that. like 0:16-0:24 there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsrA2fy37JY

if the directions would show even half amount of busis skills that they show fouls on him, he would already have 2 ballon dors. still waiting his dummy on ozil...

Allas as i was making the Busi video i saw the director's replay and i was shocked (the one i watch on TV is different from the one i used to make the vid). What i find is that as Barca fans we see things most other people don't and appreciate different things (and vice versa). take the jerseys off the players and show that video right after the Spain vs France game and most people would guess it was a clasico, not the game they just saw.

Example? Your very own video
the crowds reaction and appreciation of what they just saw (the commentator points that out too). If a player did that for Stoke he'd be getting booed for not out-muscling anyone (exaggeration, but you get the point)

That's what makes Busi unique and better than Xabi Alonso, he is a lot better in tight spaces and mucch more skillful. I remember a game against Villarreal 2 years ago he was in his sweeper position on the ball, last man in defence under pressure from a striker and he was doing body feints and dragbacks. He is composed and always knows what he is doing. Another one you forgot was his dummy against Kaka, he made Kaka look like a fool haha.

Actually Busi's faints, dribbles and tricks are very useful, both to keep possession and open up new spaces... I can't see how would anyone could have a problem against that...

First people complain about his dirty tactics and calls him anti-football, then he does what he does best and plays football and also gets the stick...
