Sergio Ramos

He would be the favorite player for many here if he had played for Barca. A player you love to hate.

Sergio Ramos was hot after Sevilla's defeat at the Sánchez Pizjuán against Athletic Club. So much so that, during the formal interview at the foot of the pitch after the match, the player from Camas did not hesitate to stop his statements and address a fan who was 'regaling' him with all kinds of expletives. He looked up at him, stopped the interview, and said a few harsh words.

"Have some respect, we're talking. Respect the people and the shield. Respect and shut up," said a visibly angry Sergio Ramos. He's seen them in a thousand colors, but he didn't like at all what a fan of his own team was telling him. After the defeat against Athletic, the waters are not exactly calm.

You're welcome
Someone that was present said there was a single fan just berating and cussing them non-stop during interview.

Tbf, Girona is a great attacking team, but Ramos looked completely off it, so slow, couldn't keep up with the pace of the game at all.

Tim to retire after the season?

Finished but an amazing career.

I always thought he was overrated defensively because of his severe discipline issues. But you have to respect what he brings as a player on the ball and as a goal threat. Also, his defensive issues aren't technical or physical. Has great defensive attributes. It's only his discipline.

In the biggest games, he didn't get sent off and played like a monster. Very clutch and you'd love to have him in your team.

Will go down as the best CB of his generation in terms of popular opinion.

I prefer Pepe as a pure defender. I think most would.

But for the other intangibles - defender being a goalscorer, leadership - I think Ramos beats him there. Either way they were a terrific partnership.
