La Furia
Legion of Doooom
Easily our worst overall game so far, still they had a tough game against Juve only a few days before and were clearly not able to play at a high energy. Jovetic was out of gas by the time everyone else picked it up in the second half, Valero and Pizarro were clearly not at their best, the less said about the defense at times the better though they adjusted well after the card.
As much as I like Ljajic's improvements this year he has zero composure in the box and depending on when El Ham is back, it might be time to start Matigol who was an improvement when he came on.
While Montella has done a fantastic job so far he needs to start being a bit more unpredictable, for one thing starting the same exact lineup after a midweek game might not have been a good idea, Toni is a situational player at best and can't be the last 20 minute hail mary every game.
Old habits die hard and we just haven't been able to do anything against those fuckers since a guy named Batistuta played. Juve, Napoli and Inter are significantly better than the rest of Serie A this year IMO and we played all three so far, two on the road, and while 1 point isn't anything to be proud of we held our own at least, now the schedule gets significantly easier for a while and we need to take advantage of that.
The ref didn't help things, Inter clearly deserved to win but the ref was much more generous in letting Inter get away with hard fouls than they were for us, I can't blame them on the PK call though even if it was clearly accidental contact.
