I don't think this Milan as a whole is really worse than last season's, one of the reasons for the poor results is all the injuries at the moment, they're simply unable to field anything near their strongest team (which still isn't that amazing overall but can definitely cause some problems if at their best). At least some of those players will be back by the time Barca play them.

The main thing I feel might be a loss for them compared to last season's matchup is that they don't have the experience of someone like Ambrosini. But this side has Balotelli who can be very unpredictable.

When everybody is back fit, it's a better side from last season, no question. Title is over but the performances have been good enough for me without the results, hence i'm not so worried about the top three spots. We should get there. Early days. I'd be. concerned if we weren't performing well on top of losing, but in my eyes that isn't the case

De Jong is a master, i look forward to his defensive performance against Barcelona, and i wish we'd play more defense/counter other than just vs Barcelona.

Over confidence is the mother of all fuck up´s. With Balo and Kaka and parking the bus it´s a different Milan.

They didn't park the bus last season though... argh, wish people would understand the difference between defensive/counter-attacking & parking the bus.

Speaking of counter-attacking, pretty good display of that by Inter against Fiorentina today. Two great goals by Cambiasso & Jonathan to come from behind after Juan gave away a stupid penalty.

Don't jinx it girl, seriously, I'll find you.

This game was the illest, not because Inter were utterly dominant or anything but because this is the type of winning mentallity type of shit that wins titles or gets you in Europe, B. Cambiasso getting on the score sheet for the second game in a row is like the stars lining up and moon shows up in the morning and drake finally gets his unicorn, unreal. The goal was dope as hell too. The touch, the instinct and the execution was wild. Jonathan's goal though, that was some venom, as if he was announcing himself on the scene, many shit games and months later. It is a bitter man's vengeance. Dude is absolutely shit and I hate his guts but that goal was Maicon vs Barca type of killer, scaled down 100x in importance though.

I hate to ruin the party though but remember this is the same team that won like 11 matches with the roman imposter, Strammacioni who had me convinced he was the second coming of Pep Guardiola before he ended up in the loser lane of Ranieri or something. Mazzari has a history of fuckin' up the big matches, his teams choke so we will see what will happen. if the team believes and someone arrives in January Inter could flirt with the scudetto but the season is long as if by the end fo the season Inter are in the CL and Kovavic is twice the player he is today it'll be a success though this team would be humiliated in the CL if the quality is the same.

Here is hoping.

Really though, I used to think that not even the best coach in the world could fix this team as it is right now, but I've been proven wrong, at least from what's transpired so far.

I agree though that it's still early days & things could change, my comment was half sarcastic anyway.

By the way, if you're curious what Stramaccioni is up to these days:

Turin derby, pretty dull so far. Juve dominating but Torino playing ultra defensive.

Edit: Pogba scored. Looked offsides though
